"Wendy" Wendy was my very first Quarter Horse mare and responsible for my expansion into AQHA, in general. A double bred Doc Bar mare, she was acquired in a three way trade back in 1998. She has produced foals for both my Illinois trainer and me, as I did lease her out for a couple of years. About a year after I had acquired her, I heard from one of her former owners that she was indeed broke to ride, had been started on cattle and that he wished he had her back. I bought her mainly as a broodmare and, to this day, have not thrown a saddle on her. She's a small, but mighty, mare and the Alpha of the herd.
