It all started in 1972, when I would go to the local livery stable in
Palos Hills, Illinois, for their two hour ride. After two years, I
bought my first horse, an unregistered Apploosa gelding, in August of
1974. That first horse led to another, then another and another. By
1989, I graduated from boarding my horses to owning my first place.
It was located in Braidwood, Illinois, about 45 miles southwest of
Chicago.
Suburbia started to catch up with me there, so I studied all
my options, sold that place and bought a much larger farm near
Oktaha, Oklahoma, where I am located today. Diamond Run Farm now
consists of 111 acres, 5 ponds, a seasonal creek and several
outbuildings. I am no longer limited to just Appaloosas. I have
Quarter horses, a Paint gelding and cattle. My goal is to produce a few
foals each spring from recognizable "using" bloodlines. Feel free to
look around and thanks for stopping by!
